A moving poem: Just like Yesterday

JUST LIKE YESTERDAY
In a twinkle
Yesterday is gone
Just like a flash
From a sudden contact
Of sun and mirror.

Yesterday is gone
Like it never existed
Like we never spent it
Like a drop of water
On the tongue of a thirsty tongue

Yesterday is gone
Reflections set in
Memoirs at yester-years
Pouring out in bits
Like a drizzle

Yesterday is gone
Oh! I wish…
But it’s all gone
To be seen no more

Yesterday is gone
Hold on to tomorrow
Tomorrow comes soon
Not with a moment pause
The future beckons
